Contract: Permanent
TARCG has an exciting new opportunity for a Project Engineer to work with our aviation client based in Devon. The suitable candidate will be responsible for coordinating all the enginering activity into a deliverable plan of action, whilst providing the interface between, engineering, the project manager and all related company departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translation of Customer requirements into measureable engineering terms in accordance with project Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP)
- Definition of engineering project deliverables
- Management of design project data
- Holding and documenting timely design reviews including formal PDR and CDR
- Overall system design
- Management of design resource in accordance with ETs and project WBS
- Ensure team members adhere to company procedures and processes
- Management of design hours and costs to ensure design is completed to time and budget
- Liaison with Project Managers
- Concept design
- Checking and sign off of drawings for manufacture
- Contribute to the continuous development of business process and systems
- 3D Cad skills preferably with SolidWorks, although adaptation training will be given.
- Knowledge of drawing standards including BS 8888, geometrical tolerancing, welding specification etc
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Use of MS Project
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels including suppliers and customers.
- Generally computer literate and able to adapt to different software
- Good report writing and project information recording
- Able to resolve basic computer problems with minimal help
- Engineering Degree
- IEng member of a relevant professional Institution
