- Job Title: Avionics Supervisor - Business Aviation
Location: Montreal, Canada
Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Avionics Supervisor to lead and coordinate avionics maintenance activities within a business aviation environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing avionics projects, managing technical personnel, whilst ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory and quality standards.
The successful candidate will bring strong avionics expertise, leadership capability and a hands-on approach to supporting operational performance and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise avionics maintenance activities across business aviation aircraft platforms.
- Work closely with Maintenance Coordinators and Crew Chiefs to schedule manpower and manage avionics projects effectively.
- Oversee daily avionics production activities, ensuring quality, safety and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Quality teams to ensure maintenance documentation and regulatory requirements are complete and accurate.
- Ensure tooling, equipment and materials are available to support maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
- Participate in maintenance, operations and safety meetings while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support scheduling, resource planning and customer communication activities where required.
- Graduate of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer programme or equivalent technical qualification.
- Valid Transport Canada AME Category E licence required.
- Minimum 8 years of avionics maintenance experience within business aviation or related aircraft environments.
- Experience supporting Transport Canada approvals, STCs, engineering modifications and avionics upgrade programmes.
- Strong familiarity with leading avionics OEM systems such as Rockwell Collins, Honeywell, Garmin, Universal Avionics, L3 or similar platforms.
- Proven leadership capability with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work effectively in fast-paced operational environments and deliver high-quality results.
