- Description
- TARCG have permanent positions available for a Part 145 Engineering Manager working on the ATR 42/72 aircraft performing scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance in Papua New Guinea.
Visa sponsorship will be supported for successful applicants outside Australia.
You'll report to the Accountable Manager and will be responsible for the direction and control of the Engineering Department for all aircraft maintenance functions to provide safe, airworthy, reliable and presentable aircraft for commercial operations in accordance with CASA PNG Rules, OGP guidelines and BARS requirements. Flights, Accommodation and Meals will be provided.
Job Responsibilities:-
- Operational management of the maintenance organisation providing clear directions & decisions for the activities conducted to meet customer service standards, regulatory and compliance targets
- Accountable for the most cost effective utilisation of manpower and resources to ensure projects are completed to agreed timeliness to meet CAMO’s expectations
- Provide responses to audit findings and take definitive action to develop & implement remedial/corrective action
- Ensure compliance with all maintenance requirements issued by the Part 119 CAMO are carried out when required.
- Ensure no person performs maintenance on Company aircraft other than as prescribed in PNG CAR Part 145, Part 119, or any other applicable rule.
- Ensure aircraft, components and ground support equipment are maintained in accordance with CASR’s and manufacturers’ requirements as a minimum acceptable airworthiness standard
- Liaise directly with the Part 119 CAMO and QASM on all matters relating to defect reporting and follow-up investigation. Ensure that Major Defect Reports are submitted to CASA as required.
- Ensure spare parts and materials are on hand or able to be delivered to meet project deadlines
- The Engineering Manager is responsible to the Director of Engineering for the functions associated with providing technical services support to the company.
- Be familiar with the PNG CAR’s, customer and local requirements affecting our operations and ensure Hevilift’s manuals and systems reflect those requirements and ensure that the Engineering Department otherwise use “good engineering practices” in our maintenance procedures.
- Manage and arrange technical training to comply with PNG CAR, OGP, BARS and local requirements.
- Assessment of personnel for company authorizations
- Ensure that work packs/work cards for projects are reviewed to ensure they are complete, reflect customer requirements and comply with regulatory requirements
- Current Part 66 engineering license either B1.1 or B2 category license on at least two types of aircraft operated by the company.
- Current company fleet comprises ATR42-320/500, DHC6-300 Fixed Wing, Bell 412/212/407/Mil8 Helicopters. AW139 and H145T2 experience preferable
- At least 10 years’ experience in civil aircraft maintenance
- At least 5 years’ experience in the management of aircraft maintenance activities, and
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Personnel leadership skills in an operational environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of PNG Civil Aviation Regulations.
- Be Familiar with OGP guidelines and BARS requirements
