- Title: Managing DirectorResponsible to: Board of Directors & VP AirframeLocation: SwedenSalary: €108,000 - €115,000 per Annum
Our client offers life-cycle support services for fixed wing aircraft, helicopters armoured vehicles and weapon systems on the international market. Their strategy is to enlarge local presence in various countries by establishing new local units, which would work in close co-operation with local defence and governmental customers.
As a director you will be accountable for the delivery of client projects and external client relationships. We are looking for a person who has a deep operative understanding of production environment and is financially literate. You will be part of our clients Operations management team reporting to SVP, Airframe and Structures Operations. In your role you will also support the sales and portfolio development.
Your responsibilities
- Directing and overseeing all the working groups under the site organization
- Responsible for effective management of the site budget
- Strategic planning and development of the site operations –resources and capabilities
- Creating continuous operational excellence development
- Accountability for ensuring delivery of products/services/projects on-time, at requested quality and within budget
- Ensuring engineering & planning capabilities for R&D projects and sales cases per portfolio’s & divisions’ needs
- Recruitment of key roles and competences under the site organization
- Managing client satisfaction in Operations’ end together with the operative unit head; ensuring day-to-day customer interfacing
- Accountable manager role according Part 145 EASA regulations
Essential Requirements:
- Proficient in business finance & financial literacy
- Degree in Engineering, production, manufacturing, aerospace or equivalent industry experience
- 5 - 10 years experience within a similar complex/technical environment (Medical, Pharmaceutical
- Leadership experience in a technical production environment
- Proficient communication and change management skills
To succeed, you will need to have a wide experience in leadership and understanding of technical production environment. You have the capability to challenge status quo and continuously improve operational excellence. In this position you will need strong communication and change management skills. You are fluent in networking and working in an international environment. Previous experience in safety-critical work is considered a strength.
