Location: Portsmouth, UK.
Work Type: Contract / Freelance
Rate: £15.32/Hr
Duration: ASAP – 6 Months +
Our client is a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, operating in the commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence and space sectors, leading the designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a worldwide scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Hand assembly and soldering of electronic PCB's, Micro Integrated Circuits, substrates and general assemblies to ESA (European Space Agency)/MIL SPEC (Military Specification) standards. This includes analogue, digital and radio frequency type products.
- Completion of assembly work and the recording in relevant documentation in line with processes, and company lean and quality standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Existing legal rights to live and work in the UK
- ESA soldering qualifications would be of great benefit but experience of working to a similar standard, such as PSS -01-708 - High Reliability Soldering, PSS-01-738 - High Reliability SMT Soldering is acceptable.
- Modern Apprenticeship in Aerospace/Space production, maintenance or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience of hand assembly and soldering of electronic PCB's, micro integrated circuits to ESA/ MIL SPEC standards.
- Trained in clean room disciplines and procedures.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements and controls.
- Understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
