Work Type: Contract / Freelance
Rate: £59.89/Hr
Duration: ASAP – 12 Months +
Our client is a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, operating in the commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence and space sectors, leading the designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a worldwide scale.
We are looking for people with experience across a range of disciplines, control systems hardware and software, structures and hydro mechanical. There will be opportunities to work across a range of products, avionics, landing gears, wheels, tyres and brakes, landing gear extension and retraction.
What you'll be doing:
- Involvement in and leading changes to systems functionality, software and hardware changes including hydraulic equipment design.
- Ensuring that the delivery of each activity meets safety and technical needs with robust adherence to system processes and leading the development of the system to meet the product needs.
- To use and develop digital skills to leverage airline data and apply data analytics techniques to ensure our design solutions are mature.
- Interfacing with the Systems Certification Specialist and technical signatories to ensure compliance to certification requirements and methodology.
- Ensuring adherence to budget and schedule for each activity; managing and mitigating risks / opportunities and communicating in a timely manner.
- Managing the offloading of activities to sub-contract suppliers.
- Proactively problem-solving issues and ensuring the maturity of the product is maintained.
- Mentoring, coaching and developing others while acting as a role model.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a degree level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and a fluency in both verbal and written English.
- Previous experience in aviation, production or manufacturing within a similar capacity
