Description
Title: Crew Scheduling Adviser
Location: Asia
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Shifts/Hours: Mon- Fri, Hybrid Work Flexibility (at least 2x/week onsite)
Salary: $7k - $11k NET/Month

The Crew Scheduling Adviser is expected to create a regulation compliant, operationally feasible and stable crew scheduling plan (flight crew and cabin crew) and lead the team in executing the plan based on the agreed and defined commercial, operational, and quality targets. This role is responsible in the areas of crew scheduling processes and roster audit, crew management systems technology trend, and the application of flight, duty time and rest period limitations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement policies and procedures that optimizes the efficient and effective deployment of crew resources, productive use of its office tools and continuously development into high quality business, operational and regulatory knowledge of the team members.
  • Direct and oversee the overall administrative management and operational control of activities of the Crew Scheduling Department.
  • Plan and manage the short/medium/long term formulation of the department’s annual budget and direction, the expenditure control and required adjustment.
  • Ensure the consistent compliance of the department’s work output to current relevant regulations and statutory requirements as well as company policies
  • Coordinate with other department/section heads or representatives; both internal and external e.g.; Chief Pilots, Customer Service Operations, Network Management,
  • Flight Operations/Network Control, Engineering and Fleet Management (EFM), Station Agents, etc. for the purpose of definition, analysis and formulation of required crew support.
  • Represent the department in meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Lead the department’s personnel in documenting the processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Authorized to make decisions regarding quality risk tolerability associated with low and minimal risks in operations.
  • Plan and manage the technical knowledge development and career advancement of its personnel, and the continuous upgrading of its relevant equipment (hardware & software) as required.
  • Define professional objectives in line with the periodic appraisal of personnel.
  • Ensure the completion and timely release of periodic reports to relevant divisions.
  • Review and approve crew routes, crew rosters, reports and other documents associated with the department’s responsibility.
  • Coordinate with Information Systems Department and the crew management system provider the functionality deficiency and required innovation to improve the
  • system’s operational support capability.
  • Review the Crew Scheduling manual regularly.
  • Perform other duty as may be assigned by the Chief Operations Adviser.
 
Essential Requirements:
  • Must have at least 7-10 years in an aviation operational environment preferably in a crewing function.
  • Must have held a leadership position, leading a team in a medium-large scale airline company.
  • Must have strong aviation background with operational experience.
  • Must have a good knowledge of Flight Time limitation.
  • Must be proficient in operating sophisticated and complex software systems such as Navitaire, Flite Trac, etc.
  • College degree holder of any course/program.
  • Any trainings and/or certification in relation to Crew Planning or Airline Management is an advantage.
  • Any trainings and/or certification in softwares/systems used in Crew Planning is an advantage.
