Location: Greater China
Department: Commercial, Passenger Sales & Distribution
Salary: $7k - $9k USD/Month
Responsible for distribution in HK, MO, TW and Pearl River Delta. Oversees Mainland China’s distribution. Ensures cost efficiency and positive management of Hong Kong and Shanghai Offices. Identify and pursue business opportunities in the assigned territories to grow business and enhance business presence. Cultivate and maintain an effective and productive professional business relationship with internal and external stakeholders (both Trade and Govt) for an optimum result.
- Responsible for the overall strategic planning and execution of short and long-term distribution strategies in Points of Sale - Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Mainland China
- Initiates distribution shift to Digital channels and ensures adoption is sustained
- Continuously source out and tap potential market opportunities for the Chinese and Filipino traffic to the Philippines to grow the network
- Responsible for driving a high revenue volume on all distribution channels while keeping the cost down for the assigned territories
- Participates in various key sales & marketing activities and events to widen distribution and strengthen the brand
- Acquire and develop strategic partnerships with online travel agents, travel aggregators and other key industry partners
- Work closely with local airport authority and other government regulators to assist in the application and renewal of operating permits, etc.
- Actively participate and represent in Board of Airline Representatives (BAR) and other travel organizations/associations to ensure positive results for business interests
- Establish a close business relationship with the Philippine Embassy/Consulate, Philippine Dept. of Tourism and Filipino Community Organizations
- Ensures a productive, professional and positive working environment amongst its team members that will allow them to be multi-skilled to support each other, when necessary
- Periodically communicates and collaborates with Director, Passenger Sales & Distribution and Director, Revenue Management & Pricing, and other departments as needed on regular route reviews, challenges & opportunity assessments
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in a similar position
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Economics, Business Administration and Tourism, MBA or Some Units in Graduate School a plus
- Highly experienced in Distribution in the Airline Industry (at least 5 years in a senior executive role)
- Sales Management Profit & Loss (Financial Assessment)
