Location: Portsmouth - Hybrid working, 3 days onsite 2 wfh (negotiable)
Length of Contract: 12 months (Possible extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, days

Job Summary:
The role is for a developer to join a scrum team as part of a wider program to deliver a management system for a new Satellite. The developer shall contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle and thus have solid experience in software design, wire framing and prototyping, development (particularly using JavaScript, JSF, TypeScript and CSS) and test. The developer must have experience of working with a recognised industry frameworks. Automated testing is a critical part of the project so any experience of this would be highly beneficial.
Job Profile:
• Development of code within an agile environment (scrum)
• Working with the team to design, implement and test features for a new product development.
• Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.
Skills/Experience Required:
Essential:
• JavaScript, xHTML, HTML5 and CSS3
• JSF, JSP
• Working with wireframes/mock-ups.
• Experience of coding to RESTful interfaces
• Agile Development Processes (Sprints)
• Responsive web design
• CI/CD delivery techniques
• Source code management (ideally using GIT)
• Issue tracking systems (we use Jira)
• User Experience concepts (e.g. intuitive, efficient)
• Ability to self-motivate and to work well within a team environment.
• Ability to promote innovation in self and others
• Ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner
• Ability to deliver to quality, cost and schedule
• Good attention to detail
Desirable:
• Experience in using D3
• Experience in using Primefaces
• Experience of Java
• Experience with Spring Framework Applications
• Experience in using Cesium JS
Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday days
- Hybrid working, 3 days onsite 2 wfh (negotiable)

- This role will be working on site - free parking is provided for this role
