Job Summary:
Zephyr is the record breaking state-of-the-art solar powered ultra-light weight High Altitude Pseudo Satellite (HAPS) developed for use in both commercial and military applications. As part of the growth of the Programme a vacancy has arisen within the Engineering team based in Farnborough. The team are responsible for the end-to-end designs of aircraft and ground systems, covering all subsystems and payloads. Reporting to the Configuration Manager, this exciting role will be responsible for the successful implementation of design configuration and baseline management across Engineering.
Based in Farnborough the role will require the applicant have excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Job Profile:
Tasks and Accountabilities:
· Responsible for implementation of Design Configuration Management tasks within Engineering according to a defined Configuration Management plan covering hardware, software, drawings and design documentation
· Management of design trees, design records, bills of materials and change implementation status across multiple system design baselines
· Management of multiple product baselines within a multifaceted system design
· Ensure the reporting, tracking and follow up of configuration discrepancies across the entire product lifecycle
· Participate in Configuration Control Boards
· Support for internal and external audits
· Promote quality and improvement culture
· Cascade and ensure lessons learnt and configuration processes optimized
Skills/Experience Required:
Essential:
· Qualified to degree level, or equivalent working experience in relevant discipline
· Experience of delivering configuration control in a complex engineering / production / service environment
· Experience using integrated Configuration Management Systems e.g. Windchill
· Able to work autonomously with excellent communication skills
Desirable:
· Experience of UAS or space system design and production environments.
· Experience of digital transformation programmes and data migration projects
· Experience of concurrent design and manufacturing programmes
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday days
Travel:
Occasional travel to other UK and overseas sites
