Description
Role: Value Stream Manager (Project Support/Production Lead/Production Support)
Rate of Pay: Please apply for further details 
Location: Broughton, Flintshire – onsite requirement
Length of Contract: 12-month contract
Working Pattern: Standard 35 hours per week (working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am – 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)
Travel: Potential for travelling once a month (either UK based or Europe) but not a definite (depends on business requirements)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Broughton Widebody Wing Value Stream Management team. The Broughton WB Wing VSM has a responsibility for, managing business, industrial and E2E activities (focusing on Broughton), Risk Sharing Partners, Suppliers and potential impacts to the Final Assembly Line.
The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate, fostering an improvement culture to improve the industrial resilience, performance and flow. Within the role, you will report directly to the head of Broughton WB Wing VSM. This team then forms part of the WB Wing VSM which includes VSM teams for Filton, Bremen, FAL One Wing Team and Change Management (Modification and Work Package).
The primary focus will be on support to industrial activities, but will include involvement and leadership of the following streams or projects:
● Abnormality Management
● Route to Zero Outstanding Work (OSW)
● Support and Integration with the Widebody A350 & A330 Component Delivery Team (CDT)
● Support the FAL One Wing Team on escalations and issue resolution related to outstanding work
● Supporting feedback loops for Plants and Final Assembly lines into Broughton maximising AOS (Airbus Operating Systems)
● Cost Reductions related to non-conformances discovered in Broughton, Bremen and FAL related to the Broughton CDT, Risk Sharing Partners (RSP’s) or suppliers
● Maintain and improve Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for quality gates and out located work teams across the widebody wing perimeter

Tasks & Accountabilities:
● Lead VSM projects ensuring time, cost and delivery targets are met using project management tools and techniques
● Integration and support to A330 & A350 focused value stream managers driving synergies and improvements
● Work closely with other functions building effective relationships and networks to support delivery of projects and VSM tasks
● Working with other VSM project leaders and members of the team to ensure best practice is shared across the VSM
● Lead projects that contribute to the key Broughton VSM objectives including; route to zero OSW, abnormality management, improvement projects and CDT integration but not limited to
● Monitor, anticipate and resolve any risks to quality gate’s, on time availability and on time delivery across the widebody wing value stream
● Development and use of KPI’s, project/issue reporting in order to provide a clear and concise status supporting key reviews
● Work closely with RSP’s and Suppliers when issues arise to ensure timely closure, robust root cause analysis and mitigation through lessons learnt
● Engagement of supply chain stakeholders to ensure level of support is received and pull inputs required
● Drive digitalisation to improve efficiency of the Value Stream and local ways of working.
● Lead and manage CMII (Configuration Modification Industrial Integration) activities, coordinating industrial responses and impacts to new modifications being implemented.

Skills & Competencies:
● Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or equivalent demonstrated through Industry Experience.
● Experience in, or with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Engineering.
● Good working knowledge and experience of Aircraft production/Aircraft engineering.
● Good working knowledge of a variety of Airbus systems and tools (ICC and Mod management would be desirable).
● Experience in working with Suppliers and Risk Sharing Partners.
● Experience in project management (knowledge of LBIP processes and Airbus Project Management certification would be desirable).
● Keen interest in digitalisation and proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Tools.
● Interest and willingness to deep dive into shop floor operations and understand connection through functions and VSM objectives.
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to tailor this to different functions and levels within Airbus.
● Structured and analytical way of working with ability to break down complex problems/challenges into smaller pieces and speak with facts and figures is essential.
● Out of the box thinking, with a speak up mindset, being a catalyst for change and comfortable to challenge the status quo.
● Interested in and a desire to deploy new ways of working even when faced with difficulties (including digitalisation and improvements).
● Willingness and ability to handle changes on a day-to-day basis working within a dynamic environment.
