- Role: Configuration Management Architect (Systems & Equipment)Rate of Pay: Please apply for further detailsLocation: Filton – hybrid working 60% on site as a minimum after initial training periodWorking Pattern: Standard 35 hours across 4.5 days (working between 7-7 at business discretion)Length of Contract: Until 02/01/2024Travel: Potential – Travel within Europe
Role Overview:The Configuration Management (CM) Center of Competence (CoC) is accountable for CM company-wide, is focused on the business / functional aspects for CM for all functions in the organisation and is the Major process owner for CM in the company.The CM Architect Systems and Equipment is accountable:• That CM Systems and Equipment processes and directives are defined, applied and consistent with major company processes• For continuous improvement and Research & Technology (R&T) projects• For process deployment, support, expertise, training and communication plans to ensure robust implementation.
Responsibilities:• Be accountable for Systems and Equipment CM KPI 's, analysis, audits, root cause analysis with recommendations and leading the action follow-up• Create and validate trans-functional and trans-national business requirements for defining Systems and Equipment CM harmonized methods and specifications for tools development• Create and release related training material for Systems and Equipment CM including internal and external• Deliver continuous improvements and contribute to audits of the Systems and Equipment CM process and procedures which are applied across all company functions throughout Aircraft lifecycle• Develop innovations and lead R&T projects contributing to CM strategy with respect to Systems & Equipment CM perimeter• Lead CM profession through the skills development, training of the company internal and external resources in the Systems and Equipment CM perimeter• Lead Supplier surveillance for System and Equipment CM• Lead CM recovery plan for Systems and Equipment in the frame of potential CM risks internal and external• Release all formal CM documentation and ensuring its acknowledgement In particular this role will mainly support local UK CM operations for Landing Gear and Fuel System.
