Implementation Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Implementation Manager to manage a programme of operational change and technology deployment for our Client based at Heathrow airport. The ideal candidate will combine a hands-on approach with project management rigour and experience in the air cargo or logistics industry. This is an exciting time to join the company as they modernise operations and deliver solutions to enhance both operational efficiency and the customer experience.
 
You will lead a programme comprising three work streams focused on warehouse operations, management data exploitation, and front-of-house operations.  Your role will be to develop a coherent and deliverable project plan, and to work with operations management to deliver it. You will co-ordinate internal teams and manage external suppliers to ensure the technology solutions meet the requirement. You will be responsible for updating country management and global management on the progress of the programme which is critical to our customer relationships.
 
You will bring expertise in managing complex projects, with a sleeves-rolled-up approach to fill in the gaps in capability and resource within the operations team. You will have first-hand experience of bringing about technology-enabled process change in an operational environment.
 
Key Responsibilities: 

1. Managing the implementation programme

• Creating an ambitious but deliverable programme plan involving three concurrent work streams
• Directing the project team, comprising Operations, IT, and external suppliers
• Liaising with operations management to agree business process definitions, to ensure the solution meets the user requirement, and to obtain resources when needed
• Ensuring the quality of the project deliverables and the technical integrity of each project
• Managing the project budget, working together with the Finance team 

1. Reporting to country and Group stakeholders

• Providing regular verbal updates to senior leadership supported by clear and methodical project documentation
• Being transparent about project risks and changes to timeline or budget
• Working with the EMEA Operational Excellence team to standardise and leverage best practices
