- Role: Safety Engineer (Assembly Technology)Rate of Pay: Please apply for further detailsLocation: Broughton – all onsite workingLength of Contract: Until 08/01/2024Working Pattern: Standard 35 hours per week (working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am – 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Assembly Technology team, part of the wider Manufacturing Engineering community at Broughton for a Safety Engineer.• The main tasks will typically include providing support to Leaders/ Engineers in the identification and resolution of work-related hazards for Assembly Technology (predominantly drilling & fastening equipment).• The H&S Practitioner will be a full time H&S professional with formal qualifications to certificate level as a minimum (i.e., NEBOSH, IOSH etc).• They will support local management enabling them to ensure appropriate risk controls are in place, work-related incidents (from near miss to lost time injury, environmental escapes etc) are investigated effectively and that specialist support is requested as required.• They will possess a good knowledge of H&S requirements in relation to industrial processes, national laws and regulations relating to the workplace and will provide direction to the operational management and local ‘safety support teams.• They will promote Health & Safety topics at the workplace throughout the organization at all levels (from top management to shop floor staff) ensuring availability of the relevant training, awareness campaigns and EHS inductions.
Main Accountabilities:• Hangar 75 Safety Governance (Including AOS Maturity)• Hangar 75 11 Point Plan - Feeding into top level Manufacturing Engineering 11 Point Plan • MFT support at site level for abnormalities/ accidents/ investigations• FISH incident + data management
• CPR1053 technical support + KPI reporting• PUWER technical support + KPI reporting• Safety review data reporting (weekly and monthly)• General H&S support to Industrial Systems Manufacturing Engineering community.
Required Skills:
Good knowledge of G suite packages• NEBOSH certificate/IOSH managing safety• Previous experience in health and safety in a manufacturing environment• PUWER / CE marking / Machinery knowledge (standards)• Excellent organisational skills• Ability to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines• Excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders• Apply a continuous improvement approach to work.
