- Role: Project Manager - Foreign Object Damage / Debris (FOD)Rate of Pay: Please apply for further detailsLocation: Broughton, Flintshire – fully onsiteWorking Pattern: Standard 35 hours per week (working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am – 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)Length of Contract: Until 31/01/2024Foreign Object Damage / Debris (FOD) is a major concern for the aviation, space and defence industry and is viewed as a potential source of risk by both Regulators and Customers. Lack of FOD prevention can potentially lead to significant problems which could affect aircraft safety and impact on the quality and cost of delivered product. In order to further boost the Airbus FOD eradication governance a FOD Project manager is required to manage and drive this activity.Responsibilities:Responsible for implementation of Airbus Single Aisle's FOD project using robust Project Management governance.● Coordinate nominated multi functional teams and focal points to deliver the project on time, cost and quality.● Obtain buy-off of proposed strategy/footprint with senior stakeholders ensuring all targets are respected.● Define and maintain a top level plan for project enablement of the area coordinating all local work streams (Tooling, Facilities, enablement, resources etc.)● Prepare and manage Project costs and investment required for the project.● Budget ownership and Capital Investment approval/finance tracking in line with financial forecasts.● Integration of project risks & opportunities + mitigation action plan.● Chair and lead project reviews with the project MFT and ensure actions are captured with robust follow-up.● Prepare and chair monthly steering groups with senior stakeholders and capture / follow-up actions.● Lead FOD escape investigations through to root cause elimination
Requirements:● You will need to be organised and structured with the ability to work autonomously● An understanding of managing costs for a project is desirable● Project Management certification is preferred but relevant experience will be taken into consideration..● Excellent stakeholder management skills● Risk management.● Previous Experience in Aerospace or Quality would be an advantage.● G Suite experience
