- Role: Supply Chain Quality ManagerRate of Pay: Please apply for further detailsLocation: Belfast – 241 Airport Road W, Belfast BT3 9DZ - Possibility of hybrid working – 60% onsite as a minimumLength of Contract: Until 31/01/2024Working Pattern: Standard 35 hours across 4.5 days (working between 7-7 at business discretion)Travel: Potential travel to suppliers – approx. once per month UKRole Overview:An exciting opportunity has opened within the Bristol based Airbus Procurement Operation team in charge of the A220 Wing, CWB and Pylon.As part of an Airbus plateau based within our supplier premises in Belfast, the successful candidate will be responsible to support On-Time / On-Quality performance for the delivery of the A220 Wing manufactured at Spirit Aerosystems - Belfast. Key aspect of the role will be the management of the interface with the supplier for operational activities to ensure customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:• Manage/contribute to supply chain & quality aspects of the contract being responsible for On-Time / On-Quality (and On-Cost when applicable) performance• Manage supplier quality approval – ensure that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders• Monitor or support new product introduction, ToW, changes, to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase• Assess the supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to the supplier development• Identify the supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions• Work out short-term recovery plans• Initiate and manage supplier operational performance• Apply the current associated tools to manage all activities related to supplier management This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Skill Set:Essential:• Must have supply chain and procurement experience• Must have project management experience and be a good problem-solving• Experience of transnational working• Have good coordination and relational skills to deal with Customers, Suppliers and various Airbus functions at all levels of the business• Have the ability to cope in a highly demanding environment• Be tenacious, adaptable and flexible• Be reliable, a team player with a good sense of reporting/escalating
