- Role: Business ManagerRate of Pay: Please apply for further detailsWorking Pattern: Standard 35 hours across 4.5 days (working between 7-7 at business discretion)Location: Filton - Full time onsiteLength of Contract: Until 03/07/2024We now have an exciting new vacancy for a Business Manager, to work with us as part of the Airbus Filton Plant organisation in the UK.The Filton plant delivers, major component, sub components and detailed parts for Airbus. This is focused primarily on assembly and equipping of aerostructures however other activities include a multi project R&D portfolio and additive manufacturing portfolio.Responsibilities:● The Business Manager will report to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering and will be responsible for● Responsible for the generation of plant ME subcontract plan, supplier landscape, offshore strategy and means to measure supplier performance● Support set of new work packages, manage projects and ensure deliverables to time, cost and quality.● Ensures that appropriate governance processes are implemented and adherence to those processes● Provide support to escalation● Ensure ethics and compliance is followed and reported● Manage subcontractors throughout the project life cycle - including delivery, goods receipt follow up, management of quality etc.● Management of the subcontractor induction, onboarding for onsite working● Support external spend profiling and management● Support specific SAP access, data management, analytics and IM projects● Support CAPX replacement projects to support obsolete equipment● Support AOS maturity with specific to improvement of efficiency projects
Skill Set:Essential:● You will have some experience in supplier or subcontractor management, ideally within a defense or aerospace environment.● The ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers and supply chain + partners● Negotiation skills and commercial acumen● The ability to manage projects● The gravitas to build relationships with senior stakeholders and internal stakeholders● Some engineering experience would be advantageous but not essential
