- B2 or B1 or CAT A Licensed Engineer required for permanent positions at London Heathrow or Gatwick, UK.
B2s if typed rating on A330, B777, or B787 will keep recency. Unfortunately at this time, B1s will not.
This is a great opportunity to join an international company working on IFE equipment for international airlines doing diagnostics and repair. Full training will be given.
CAA, EASA, and FAA Licenses are all of interest, and applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
Responsibilities will include
- Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support
- Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of IFE systems.
- Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling, or seat consoles in which failures occur down to the line replaceable modules, using knowledge of electronic theory.
- Identify necessary repairs to restore functional acceptance, which may require the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules and/or cabling.
- Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.
- Operate airline communications equipment.
- Communicate and interface with customers.
- Administrative/Documentation
- Document the testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
- Receive and prepare parts.
- Assist in tracking the spare inventory.
- Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or upper management.
This is shift work of 4 on 4 off, with a mixture of earlies and lates, 12hrs per day. Once training is complete and certifying, there is plenty of overtime.
