- Role: Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis EngineerRate of Pay: Please apply for further detailsLocation: Filton - Onsite full-timeWorking Pattern: Standard 35 hours across 4.5 days (working between 7-7 at business discretion)Length of Contract: Until 31/12/2023 - Possible extensionTeam: 1ACSNN - Non Linear FEM, Virtual Test and Mulitbody SimulationWorking Conditions: Expectation that candidate will be able to work in the office 5 days a week to ensure support to the local team. Flexible working may be possible, but cannot be guaranteed at the start of the contract.Key Skills: Non Linear Finite Element Analysis, specifically use of Abaqus and Hypermesh.General Skills: Stress Analysis, Good background understanding of Metallic Fatigue and Crack growth.Overview of role:We have an open temp position for a Non Linear Simulation engineer here in Filton as part of the 1ACSNN team to support a high priority task.We need an engineer with expertise and experience in Non Linear Simulation on aircraft structures (wing experience preferable). The tasks will involve building and running simulations in Abaqus & Hypermesh, use of the High Powered Computing hardware and liaising with a transnational team.
