The leader in the fixed wing HAPS market, Zephyr will revolutionise Earth observation and connectivity across many sectors.Zephyr is a High-Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) and is the only one of its kind to have demonstrated day/night longevity in the stratosphere. Providing a persistent and adaptable solution, unlike other unmanned aircraft. Its persistence enables a capability of flying continuously for months at a time, at around 70,000 feet, above weather and conventional air traffic.Following significant recent successes in its testing, product development and certification. AALTO HAPS has now carved-out all related operations of the Zephyr program into a newly established separate entity to further scale the business with commercial customers and involve third party investors into the program.The newly established entity shall become the leading Global HAPS Connectivity as a Service (CaaS) provider for the Mobile and Satellite Network Operator market – connecting the diverse needs of our customers – whether for rural, overlay capacity, disaster recovery or new services provision. In addition, it shall offer Platform as a Service (PaaS) to the Institutional and Military markets for Earth observation, tracking and communications requirements, as well as operating a global fleet of carbon neutral HAPS platforms – powered by sunlight.The Role:AALTO HAPS Limited is looking for a Procurement professional to support our newly established Procurement function which will be responsible for sourcing and managing a wide variety of goods and services across the business aiming to achieve the best value for money possible.This is a great opportunity if you are seeking a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in supporting the transformation and development of the Indirect spend categories such as Maintenance & Operations, Logistics, Plant, Travel, Property & Facilities Management, ICT, Marketing. This role will also be supporting the transformation and implementation of improved business / procurement processes, systems, and performance management.Our ideal candidate will be a procurement professional who has a track record of relevant procurement knowledge across 'indirect' category areas and is accomplished in negotiating costs, contractual terms and relevant performance measures for supplier contracts.
You will also have:· Experience of a formal sourcing process and have some knowledge of relevant contractual risks and how to manage/ mitigate these.· Be enthusiastic, with excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills that enable you to comfortably work across all levels within the business, whilst having the confidence to challenge the norm and think creatively.· Be self-motivated, commercially astute and have strong problem-solving skills.· Be comfortable working to deadlines, being able to change priorities whilst managing own time effectively.· Embrace and promote the values of integrity and team spirit.
Job Description:- Utilise your experience to analyse, define, and implement market and sourcing strategies for your designated commodities
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal / external stakeholders, optimising engagement and communication at all times.
- Visit and when required audit current and potential suppliers
- To support on bid preparation and proposal documentation.
- Issue, progress and negotiate draft supplier agreements and provide Contract support
- Develop and report metrics as required for the Procurement Manager
- Monitor, measure and improve supplier performance (cost, quality, and delivery), managing and resolving performance issues as required
- Responsible for transactional and more detailed supply chain contract activity, including raising requests for Quotations, negotiating price and lead times, managing purchase orders and associated contractual requirements, expediting delivery and managing payments
- Resolving a wide variety of routine problems and issues, escalating complex/ high impact issues when necessary
- To support the delivery of both team and wider business objectives.
Requirements and Skills:· Organisational, Supplier Relationship & Stakeholder Management skills (ability to influence and convince, manage conflicts in a constructive manner...)· Supply chain expertise and experience in market engagement.· Contract Management & Development.· Proven working experience, ideally in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Logistic fields.· Procurement strategy and execution.· A background in tender preparation, management and evaluation.· Strong negotiation skills.· Outstanding communication skills (written and oral), adaptable with a determination to succeed.· CIPS or equivalent qualified or working towards/willing to undertake is desirable.· Experienced in using M365 suite, ERP systems (SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365).· Degree or other equivalent is desirable.· A full, valid driving licence and access to your own a vehicle as supplier visits will be required.
