As one of the business partners for our client, you will oversee the people services activities across the Cargo and Ground handling businesses. The role will manage the performance of the shared services team to ensure the HR business partners are supported throughout all aspects of the employment lifecycle.
You will review the day to day workload and processes to help improve ways of working effectively and efficiently as a function. You will review, develop and implement projects which will support business growth establishing a high-performance culture and embedding a safe, fulfilling and enjoyable working environment for the employees.
This role will be key in determining and implementing appropriate HR strategy around the approach to attracting, developing and retaining talent, as well as performance management and employee relations. This position will also play a key part in the transformation activities of HR Compliance and metrics throughout the UK Operations.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Review, develop and implement projects across the UK working with key areas of the business
- Review business needs and development areas to highlight areas of improvements
- Gather feedback from all areas of the business to ensure we are engaging with our employees
- Work closely with project teams to understand their needs and produce a straightforward set up
- Implement appropriate People Strategy consistently within the business
- Build a HR approach based on the business needs, working together with business leaders to ensure alignment with the long and short-term vision.
- Partner with line managers to enhance performance, support their development and enable them to be better leaders for their organisations.
- Leverage key HR processes communication (Development, Performance, Recruitment…) in order to reach the target and being compliant with the Global HR Approach
- Promote a high-performance culture
- Align recruitment and development processes and train key stakeholders to the approach and the tools.
- Ensure a constructive relationship with Unions / works council.
- Implement action plans in order to ensure the wellbeing and the engagement of people in the division.
- Be responsible for the full compliance of HR data and regulations within the UK
- Run the processes and systems to ensure compliance with people-related regulatory requirements (e.g. Work Council, Health & Safety committee, Data Protection…)
- Ensure data accuracy is sent to the payroll department.
- Provide information to the Labor Relations department in case of litigation
Requirements:- Experienced HR Generalist (minimum of 5 years in HR roles) with a generalist HR background and strong experience in dealing with Unions. (CIPD Qualified)
- Ideally within a B to B services business (Facility Management, mass catering, logistics, interim, security.)
- Knowledgeable and up to date on local employment laws.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence.
- Track record of achieving results in challenging assignments.
- Ability to influence multiple levels of the organization
- Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and ability to communicate with all levels of the company including Senior Management.
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and problem solve.
- Must have a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and initiative.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
