Our client is a leading company in space propulsion, based Italy. The company offers competitive solutions for launching institutional, governmental and commercial payloads into Earth’s orbit through its modern range of rocket and propulsion systems. 
 
Continued company success and expansion has given rise to multiple opportunities for experienced Design engineers to join the team in designing new space propulsion applications. We are looking for design engineers who have experience with Cryogenic propulsion propellant systems, Cryogenic Turbo Machinery & Valves, Cryogenic Interface systems & finally cryogenic combustor chambers. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • To support the definition and implementation of development & qualification plan of Valves and turbopumps for high thrust cryogenic engines
  • To support components design in cryogenic valves and turbines for high thrust engines
  • To support the definition and implementation of development & qualification plan of Cryogenic Liquid propulsion module (LPM) with particular focus on ground interface models
  • To support the development of the necessary technological processes, ensuring follow-up of the related development & qualification ground models manufacturing, integration and testing activities
  • To support the Establishment/maturing of schemes, architectures and lay-out of liquid propulsion systems
  • To support the definition and implementation of development & qualification plan of Combustion chambers for high thrust cryogenic engines;
  • To write technical documentation relevant to design, analysis, mechanical justification, manufacturing and integration, testing.
  • To define special processes (brazing, welding, plating, treatments) requirement specification, following and driving the relative experimental and analytical phases to complete validation and qualification of manufacturing and inspection technological processes.
Essential Requirements:
  • Must have the right to live & work in Italy
  • A technical degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position
  • Experience working with at least one of the following; High thrust cryogenic combustors, cryogenic turbo machinery, ground interface systems, or Cryogenic propellant systems.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical design and dimensioning
