- Title: Obsolescence Engineer
Location: Vienna

TARCG has an exciting new opportunity for an Obsolescence Engineer to work with our aviation client based in Austria. Suitable candidates will have two years’ worth of experience within technical project management, production/development and preferably have a background within aviation.
Responsibilities:
- Your task includes the planning and control of product-specific obsolescence.
- You will monitor and maintain the life cycle database.
- You create obsolescence management plans and keep them up to date.
- You regularly create internal as well as customer-specific obsolescence reports.
- Independent research of life cycle data of components is your responsibility.
- You will maintain the relevant life cycle data in the ERP system.
- You act as an interface both internally and externally when announcing component discontinuations.
- You initiate product changes due to component discontinuations.
- You support the development departments in new developments to avoid short-term obsolescence, including BOM checks
- A completed technical education (higher technical school or University of Applied Sciences) in the field of electrical engineering/electronics or mechatronics is required.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in technical project management, production/development, preferably in the aerospace industry is expected.
- Experience working with ERP systems and databases such as proAlpha or AMSYS LCM is a plus.
- Strong technical understanding is required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are your hallmarks.
- An analytical, independent and solution-oriented way of working is expected.
- Very good knowledge of MS-Office, especially Excel, is required.
- Good written and oral German and English skills are required
