Role: Quality Lineside Engineer
Rate of Pay: Please apply for further details 
Location: Broughton, Flintshire – onsite working requirement
Length of Contract: Until 17/09/2024
Working Pattern: Double day shift pattern. One week of mornings (6:00am- 1:10pm). One week of afternoons (1:30pm – 8:40pm). Alternating weeks with a 20% shift uplift
 
A great opportunity has arisen in Airbus UK Broughton for someone to join the Quality Team as a Quality Lineside Engineer.
 
The successful candidate will be supporting the evaluation, coordination and monitoring of achieved levels of conformity in the product, process and services provided by the Manufacturing Business.
 
It is important to Airbus that candidates have experience with QMS processes, Risk Management, Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis and are focused on ensuring the Quality Standards are continually maintained.
 
Candidates with a strong QA/Engineering background, that have worked in Engineering/Manufacturing sectors other than the Aerospace Industry, will still be considered for this role and training will provided, where necessary if candidates have specific Airbus product knowledge gaps in their experience.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide specialist Quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services, and to independently assure that Quality requirements have been met.
  • Assures that the Quality system is being adhered to within the business by the business through surveillance activities.
  • Assures that certification processes are consistently defined and applied within the business.
  • Coordination and leadership of reported quality / technical issues from business teams and customers, ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken by the accountable function through use of multifunctional team activities and that the originator of the issue is informed.
  • To perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLB’s, NC’s) to assess probable root cause, informing the accountable function and ensuring corrective and preventative action is taken (ambition is within one shift) preventative action to be taken through problem solving analysis through multifunctional team activities.
  • To conduct investigations to assess the probable root cause of any deficiency noted during process confirmation activities, informing the accountable function, and ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken.
Required Skillset:
  • Quality or engineering based background within a major manufacturing industry is desirable but does not have to necessarily be within the Aerospace sector.
  • Ability to interpret drawings.
  • Ability to problem solve and use associated problem-solving tool sets (knowledge/Use of PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa are desirable but not a necessity).
  • Good interpersonal skills - ability to challenge appropriately whilst maintaining strong relationships.
  • Data analysis skills - interpret data sets, graphical data and draw conclusions.
  • Work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross functional team members
