Salary: £60,000 to £80,000 per annum

TARCG has an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Engineering to work with our aviation client based in Yorkshire. The client is a Part 145 and 21g approved aviation business specialising in the renovation of commercial aircraft. The client provides a comprehensive range of interior and exterior solutions to the commercial aircraft industry; from the manufacture of aircraft parts to complete renovation services.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the shopfloor Team Leaders (currently there are 3 Team Leaders – Seat, Paint and Stores).
- Management of ongoing training programme of all shop floor staff
- Responsibility for workshop recruitment
- Full responsibility for all Health and Safety on the shopfloor
- On going management and fulfilment of our Aviation Quality standards and Compliance including liaising with the client’s own Quality Manager, the CAA and EASA
- Full responsibility for the final quality and inspection of our production output
- Management of the project flow through the workshop – liaising with the clients Operations Manager to ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained and client deadlines are consistently met.
- To analyse and assess how our teams can constantly improve both in terms of the day to day operations, our product portfolio and how that could be expanded
- Day to day communications with clients, to ensure that all shopfloor projects are expertly managed whilst maximising quality of output.
- B1 Licensed Engineer
- 10 years commercial aviation maintenance
- Previous managerial experience
