TARCG has an exciting new opportunity for an Aviation Business Development Manager to work with our Cypriot-based company with offices in the UK, Cyprus and Greece.
Our client is currently looking for a dynamic, efficient, service-oriented and hard-working individual to join the company and be based at their offices in Athens.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and provide quotations for incoming requests.
- Ensure all administration associated with each project is carried out effectively.
- Act as a liaison between the relevant parties to ensure client expectations are met.
- Generate and follow up on sales leads to capture new business.
- Gather feedback from customers and suppliers to monitor performance of all parties.
- Maintain up-to-date and detailed knowledge of the aviation market.
- Seize opportunities to expand the client’s database

- As the Aviation Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership to the ACMI department. This includes overseeing the department’s day-to-day operations, setting strategic goals, and ensuring that all team members are aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and assess market demand for ACMI services. Analyse industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to develop a target business development strategy.
- Actively prospect and establish relationships with potential clients, including airlines, leasing companies, and cargo operators, who may require ACMI services. Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients but understanding their needs and delivering exceptional services.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as operations, finance, and legal to ensure smooth execution of ACMI contracts. Coordinate aircraft scheduling, crew management, maintenance planning, and compliance with regulatory requirements to meet client expectations.
- Continuously monitor the performance of ACMI contracts, ensuring that all commitments and service level agreements are met or exceeded. Regularly report on key performance indicators to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and proposing strategies for enhancing department profitability and efficiency.
- Develop and implement an ACMI Sales Diary system to track and manage sales leads. Client interactions, and contract negotiations. This diary should include key milestones, follow-up activities, and a structured approach to managing the sales pipeline.
- Degree qualified with a good knowledge of the Aviation Industry will be considered an advantage.
- ACMI - Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and insurance experience is required, and Operational, commercial and sales experience will be considered an advantage.
- High degree of IT skills
- Have strong English language skills
- Have good communication and negotiation skills both written and verbal.
